Affirmative: Subject + Have/Has + Been + Verb - ing Negative : Subject + Have/Has + Not + Been + Verb - ing Interrogative: Have/Has + Subject + Been + V - ing
My mum began cooking three hours ago. She hasn’t finished yet. My mum has been cooking for three hours ago. She hasn’t finished yet.
The teams started playing football twenty minutes ago. They haven’t finished yet. The teams have been playing football for twenty minutes ago. They haven’t finished yet.
The headmaster started speaking two hours ago. He hasn’t stopped yet. The headmaster has been speaking for two hours. He hasn’t stopped yet.
Bill began building his house six months ago. He hasn’t finished it yet. Bill has been building his house for six months. He hasn’t finished it yet.
I started doing my homework three hours ago. I haven’t finished it yet. I have been / I’ve been doing my homework for three hours.
