once a woodman was working in the Bank of a deep river. He accidentaly droped his axe in the river and he didn't know what to do. He was really sad and Mercury heard the poor man's cries. He came, listened to the man's story and decided to help him. He first dived in to the river and brought up a golden axe, he asked the men If this is his axe and he answered ,, No". Then Mercury brought up a silver axe and asked the men If this is his axe and the answer was ,, No" again. Then he brought up man's old axe and he said that this is his axe. Mercury was happy that the men was honest and made him a present of other 2 axes. The woodmen told his friends about what happend and one of them decided to try this too, but he wasn't honest and Mercury gived him neither one of his axes nor the axe that he droped in the water.
