My last holiday was in Maramures. I was there for five days, too little for what I liked. I stayed at a guesthouse called "The mottled tall." I've visited many monasteries.
The place was not too far from where I live, they are done by car about 5-6 hours and at some point enter a very nice forest road. The food is good, a little too fat and too much meat for me but I generally liked the gastronomy of this region. In addition to the monasteries, I also visited Horse Falls which is 75 km from the area where I stayed. I can say it was a successful holiday and I can't wait to visit another place.
